Role of the Town Manager
The Town Manager is Buckfield’s chief administrative officer. The Select Board directs the Manager; the Manager directs Town staff and carries out policies approved by the Board.
Areas of responsibility
- Assists the Select Board.
- Prepares Board agendas and Town Meeting warrants.
- Oversees Town departments and human resources.
- Coordinates local board and committee applications.
- Prepares the annual budget with Town departments.
- Serves as purchasing agent and monitors Town funds and expenditures.
